I find this both heartening and disheartening.

http://hyperallergic.com/163847/44m-okeeffe-painting-more-than-triples-auction-record-for-woman-artist/

Georgia O'Keefe just more than tripled the auction record held by a female artist. Heartening that collectors understand that female artists are more than boobs. Disheartening that the international value of art is still calculated in dollar signs because that is what is easiest to understand. It sucks to be an idealist. I am an idealist in disguise.

Also, these. I love Joseph Cornell. Love. Though I didn't love his SFMOMA retrospective. It felt like it was more about the slate blue paint on the walls than the work.

Sorry I suck. I will make it up to you.

In the last 4 weeks I have been in Boston, San Diego, Los Angeles, New York, San Luis Obispo, Atlanta, Chicago and San Francisco. So much art. This is just the beginning my friends.
